Do you think it was wrong for Lewis not to help Charles? He has
a 5 place grid drop so pole was out of the question

I thought about this while watching qualifying.

We know that having two top running cars can be a big advantage, so giving up a place or two for Leclerc, to gain a couple of places for Hamilton might give them some tactical advantages on race day.

Of course, Ferrari remains the team that seems to get strategy backwards more often than not.  (Except who ever put on Russell's tires for Q3.  He was racing better in mediums, asked for mediums, why was he on softs?)

Piastri was happy to give Lando a tow to help him get back into the action when he screwed up his first run in Q2, you'd think he has more reason to keep his teammate back down the grid than Lewis.  :D

P4 would have been good enough of a position to fight for victory had the car actually been up to it  :( . So I think Ferrari was right to trust Leclerc to get the car into a fighting position.

Quite apart from Hamilton being able to score more points from P10 than P15, it also gave Ferrari options if, for example, Leclerc had a bad start. The options weren't needed but it's better to have them than not.
