The wonderful V10

(1/1)

Andy B:
I came across this about the V10.
I'm allowed to dream of it coming back!  :'(

John S:
Andy mate what a wonderful article you dug up there.  :good:

They really built some screamers back then, blew a lot up too.  ;)

Apologies for being late onto it, I was away on the South coast last week for a late holiday.

Good find, Andy!

For all it's success in F1, the V10 never really really caught on for road cars. The only ones that come to mind are Lamborghini's V10 and the Dodge Viper.

Ford had a V10 version of its Modular V8 but used it only for trucks. It never got twin cam heads or any of the other go fast goodies used on the V8 version. Probably because it wouldn't fit in a Mustang.

Our AMVETS Post had a V10 E-250 van for a number of years. Nice but not what I would call a hot rod.
