Always loved the design of the T-70 Mk III

cosworth151:
I think that's the first time I've ever heard a small block Chevy (or any 5.0) described as "monstrous." 5.0 is even small for a SBC. The most common sizes these days are 5.3 & 5.7. Still, it's an interesting project.

There's a fellow here in Ohio who has a T-70 that he has made street legal. He has a current production Corvette drivetrain in it. I've seen it at several area British Car Days.

lkjohnson1950:
Back when Penske/Chevy were racing Trans-Am, GM lobbied the SCCA to allow them to build the necessary street legal version of the SBC Camaro with a 350, saying the 5.0 was too peaky for street use. Even Lola offers a 6.2 in the street lagal T70S GT.
