As F1 now has budget caps which restrict what you can do so why is it the rule book cannot be opened up?
Back in the day when there were fewer rules, other than Bernie, you never quite knew what was going to turn up on what car so now with a budget cap how about reduce the rules and give the teams a free hand but staying within the budget.
Would it be more competitive, innovative maybe just more interesting?
It'll never happen I know but I'm interested in your thoughts!

Each race weekend was kind of a "Where's Waldo" looking for new winglets and such. If something seemed to give advantage versions of it would start popping up on other cars. I'd love to see that come back.
