Given how often my computer has Bluetooth or WiFi problems, no I will stick to hydraulic thanks. My car's 20+ years old anyway. Not a lot of gadgets.

Yup Andy, Tesla still has bog standard hydraulic brakes to supplement the regenerative braking system.

i can appreciate change being 'scary'.  If hydraulics have worked this long, why change?

I assume the advantages are
1)  Cheaper to manufacture
2)  Cheaper to maintain
3)  Fewer points of failure. If brakes only work if pressure is maintained along the system, then replacing it with redundant electric/radio controls sounds safer doesn't it?

That would be a huge NO from me.
As mentioned, Wifi and Bluetooth go down much too often to reply upon an electronic signal to stop the vehicle.

Given Wifi and Bluetooth often fail at my workplace car park specifically (despite said car park having a robust network including the latest Wifi specification covering the buildings and the area immediately outside), then I can see this resulting in a lot more crashes at work if people start going for these vehicles.
