F1 inspired pick up truck
« on: April 24, 2007, 02:19:32 PM »
Toyota has produced this Hilux Sport Concept pick-up truck – complete with F1-style livery, fresh from the first few rounds of the Formula 1 season.

But the motorsport theme doesn't end with a few stickers.

The Hilux' standard 3-litre diesel engine has been boosted from 169bhp to around 200bhp by a Toyota Motorsport 'power upgrade', and our pictures indicate a big-bore exhaust system.

To match its extra grunt, Toyota's own Tonka toy sports a set of monster 22-inch alloy wheels, a sport truck-top, chrome-finished grille, tinted windows and lights and a special-design front guard.

Sadly for power-hungry pick-up fanatics, just one will be built; and will be on display at the Commercial Vehicle Show at Birmingham's NEC from today until Thursday 26.
