Change in Betting Rules
« on: May 26, 2007, 04:34:36 PM »
While in the chat room for qualifying this
morning,Rom posed the question about
being allowed to make our race bets
after qualifying?

That's the way I originally was going to
set it up,so what do you all think

We would still post our qualifying and fast lap
before the race with the option of changing
our race picks up to 1 hour before race

Let me know what you think

I will go along with what eveyone wants to do.I will just select as i usually do as it is more practical for me.
The new way means people will have to wait until after qualifying to post, which means they will have to be on the Forum after the qualification which cant always be the case....(Wizard,cosworth,Ian and slugger.were missing yesterday.)
People might be away with jobs etc. and might not be able to post for some reason or even be on site after the qualifying stage.
The old way ensures all votes are in.
Just a thought.

How would you vote under the new Grid Game rules if you cant get on the net for some reason?
Thrifty rom?

I think you could still make you bet as normal, but if you choose you can also modify the race outcome picks upto the time limit

Rom

your right Rom,nothing changes except the option
to change your bets after qualifying.Post your bets
as usual

Stig posts early as  I do,and I modify my bets on Fri
usually, this way I would have all day Sat to change

I just wanted to keep it simple while people got
used to it

Next year I'd like to add a few extra options, such as# of did not finish, rain or dry race, whether safety car is deployed, and maybe crash in
turn 1 yes or no

Let's wait and see what Ian and Cos say

Either way is ok with me Dare, it's a good idea tho', if I had been able to get to my computer I would have changed my posting to put Felipe 3rd, thats the truth, it's not being wise after the event or clever it's just that it was obvious the MMlaren's would shut out Felipe, as they did. Sorry I could'nt make it yesterday, no access to my broadband, bloody wife again.

I'm cool with it either way, as long as we can still get our picks in early. Like Rom, I'm not always around a connection between Qual. and the race.

Cos

By the way, Claw_Grrrl says she might try a race or two using Tarot to pick.

Cos bet as usual, the only thing changed is the option to
modify your bet up to 1 hour before start of race

Claw is welcome to join using tarot cards, but the ouija
board is strictly forbidden
