White cars are no longer the black sheep of the family that they used to be.
New research shows that people are beginning to part with their cash for a white car more readily than in recent years.
Once dubbed '60-day white' by motor professionals in reference to how long they stayed on the forecourt before being sold, apparently they're making a comeback.
That is not to say that we are about to see hordes of white cars on our roads as CAP, the firm behind the research, says they remain hugely unpopular, just not as unpopular as five years ago.
Almost half of dealers told the firm that white cars are selling better than five years ago.
The most popular colours in the UK are still silver, black and blue and it will be some time before our roads look like those of Italy, where one in three cars is white.
