Play Golf with Nick or Ralf
« on: June 06, 2007, 02:52:28 AM »
Formula One fans can bid in eBay auctions that feature the prize of playing golf Wednesday, June 13 at Brickyard Crossing Golf Course with four F1 personalities, including drivers Nick Heidfeld and Ralf Schumacher.
The auctions, presented by Bridgestone, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Brickyard Crossing, continue until June 8 at www.ebay.com. All proceeds will go to the Driver's Edge driver education program for teens and the Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.

Winning bidders will play in a Bridgestone charity event at the 18-hole, championship-caliber Brickyard Crossing course, which features four holes inside the famous IMS oval. Two winners will play in a foursome with BMW Sauber F1 Team driver Heidfeld, two with Panasonic Toyota Racing driver Schumacher, two with Bridgestone Motorsport Director Hiroshi Yasukawa and two with Super Aguri F1 Team Principal and former F1 driver Aguri Suzuki.

The drivers and personalities are participating in the United States Grand Prix on June 15-17 on the 2.605-mile road course at IMS.

Besides the once-in-a-lifetime chance to play golf with F1 celebrities, other great prizes will be provided to the winning bidders, including:

•Two reserved seats to the United States Grand Prix on Sunday, June 17 at IMS.

•Two two-day general-admission tickets for Friday, June 15 (F1 practice) and Saturday, June 16 (F1 qualifying) at the United States Grand Prix.

•An autographed photo of your foursome and a Bridgestone gift bag.

•A chance to meet all of the participating F1 celebrities in the event.

•A Bridgestone Motorsport hat autographed by Heidfeld and Schumacher.

•A tournament luncheon.

The two winning bidders who play on the winning foursome in the tournament also will receive from Bridgestone two passes to the ultra-exclusive USGP Paddock Club for Sunday, June 17, a retail value of $7,600.

To bid in the auctions, click the links below or enter these numbers into the search box at www.ebay.com and follow the instructions in each listing:

Personality eBay auction numbers
Heidfeld ($500 minimum bid): 200115483899, 200115484264

Suzuki ($250 minimum bid): 200115489025, 200115489121

So, if there are some of you who don't think that golf is about as exciting as watching paint dry, here's your big chance to do it in style! 8)
