Boycott Bernie?
« on: July 16, 2007, 05:46:11 PM »
The Evil Dwarf has said that he doesn't need the US, France, Holland and Austria. The UK is on the chopping block. What do you think would happen is the fans in these countries started making there feelings known to BMW, Mercedes, Renault, Honda and Toyota? Maybe also companies like Shell, Royal Bank of Scotland, ING, Panasonic, Philip Morris, ect? Maybe something like this:

Mr. Bernard Ecclestone, CEO of Formula One Management, has stated that his organization doesn’t need the people of our country. Since your firm is continuing its support of Mr. Ecclestone and his operation, we can only assume that you don’t need us, either. Therefore, we shall take our trade to other firms until the situation with Formula One Management is corrected.

Just picture Bernie being trampled under a stampeding herd of panicked company accountants and PR people.

A beautiful thought.

I agree that it really is time something was done about the situation.  If it is decided to go ahead with this form of protest, count me in.

Cos.

I seriously think you should send that to Autosport for insertion in the correspondence columns.

Enough people read that.

Good one mate. You have our backing.

I agree with johnbull, send it off to Autosport.  Bernie cannot get away with moving races away from the main markets and fanbases of F1.

too true Cos, as always your are spot on with an appropriate response..... the australian public actually chose a day to not buy fuel when prices were stupidly high, the result was an immediate 6cent per litre drop the next day.....you cannot deny the power of the people.
