The French Grand Prix will remain on the Formula One calendar for the next two years following resolution talks in Paris.

Formula One commercial chief Bernie Ecclestone met with French Prime Minister Francois Fillon and Sports Minister Roselyn Bachelot and agreed to keep the race at Magny-Cours until 2009.
"Mr Ecclestone said he agreed in principle with keeping the French Grand Prix at the Magny-Cours circuit," read a statement from the Prime Minister's office.
The circuit still holds a contract until 2011 with Ecclestone to stage a race but has not fulfilled certain conditions of the deal in the past 12 months, leading to widespread thoughts that this year's race had been it's last.
France's Motorsport Federation the FFSA had said last week that any continuation of the race would depend on a combination of government and private money being ploughed in to help the event.
There was no confirmation following the meeting that this had been a factor in the discussions and more detailled discussions have been scheduled for September when the finer points of the deal will be discussed further.
Magny-Cours has hosted the French Grand Prix every year since 1991.
