From his name, I'd guess that Cozzie is slightly biased towards Williams' previous engine supplier...  ;)

I can't say i blame him. Cosworth do have an unenviable record in GP racing.

Although I understand the need for Williams to link with a manufacturer like Toyota, I was much happier when we were an independent team with an independent engine.  The Cosworth V8 was amazing, and I wish we still had it in the car this year!

I don't think it is the engine the problem with poor performance teams unless it was the Minardi team in the olden days. Today all the engines deliver identical performance with a few kms here or there in top speed and revs.
Its the whole package and the budgets which are an Issue. Car handling is the issue. I don't think Williams is going to appreciably improve their position even with a Mercedes power plant.

Yeah, you're right of course Raindancer.  Williams' problem has recently been in their aero department.  Thankfully they seem to be getting on top of that so they can hopefully begin to get everything out of their car package.

The German mag Sport Bild just published an interview with Nico Rosberg, which has been quoted on several other sites. He says one of the main problems at Williams is "the engine from Toyota is too weak."

All in all, it sounds like he's setting himself up to move to another team next year. This would go along with the talk of Sir Frank selling his contract.
