Kimi Raikkonen has ruled himself out of the hunt for the 2006 world title. The Finn, who came close to bagging F1's biggest prize in 2003 and again last year, is tipped to leave McLaren at the end of the year after expressing frustration with his McLaren.
''The title battle will be fought between Ferrari and Renault,'' the 26-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport after finishing a distant fifth in Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix.
At 27 points behind the drivers' championship lead of Fernando Alonso, Raikkonen set a different target for 2006, widely thought to be his last season before switching to Ferrari.
Kimi continued: ''Me? I'll look for winning some races. At least I'll try.''
The blonde-haired racer also conceded to the Italian sports newspaper that he does not have 'a good car' this year.
