Your very own F1 car

The Caparo T1 defines an entirely new breed of supercar that is lighter than a Caterham but with twice the power-to-weight ratio of a Bugatti Veyron. The ultra lightweight T1 is a British designed 2-seater which has been developed using aerospace and high formula racing technology.

The 2.4-litre V8 engine, supercharged via a belt-driven Vortex blower, has now been on the dyno at Mountune where it easily delivered the headline 500bhp (at 10,500rpm) needed to give the car its astonishing power-to-weight ratio of 1000bhp per ton.

Specification
Power = 500bhp
Weight = under 500Kg
0-60mph = under 2.5sec
0-100mph = under 5sec  :o
0-100-0mph = under 9sec  :swoon:
Top Speed = in excess of 200mph

To place your order  ::) visit Caparo

 :tease: wizard, did you see in the metro paper today,the new Ferrari FXX, only 30 being made, it's an 800bhp V12 f1 car in disguise as a road car, only about a £1,000,000, but for that you not only get the car you get to go to 14 track days at famous circuits round the world, Ferrari will ship the car for you and official tech's will be there to help you out. Shall we have a whip round  :crazy:

£1 million for 14 track days including shipping and technicians - sounds like a cheap F1 season to me.

At the moment we have about 500 members, if we all put in £2,000 each we've done it!  :yahoo:

Hang on......even if we had each track for 8 hours a day that would mean each member could drive it for only 13 minutes in total, perhaps not  :'(

from what i have heard you arent actually aloud to drive it on the road! you automatically become a member of ferrari's testing team to help them develop the LM cars! £1m for 14 track days i think not!

this new caparo however looks to be a bargain! this will seriously beat anything on the road this side of an F1 car! except maybe for a 650i...;)

The Caparo T1 moved closer to production yesterday as parent company Caparo appointed Cars International, based at London's Canary Wharf, as its UK distributor.

Commenting on the appointment of its first international dealer Caparo Vehicle Technologies’ commercial director Sean Butcher said: “We have appointed Cars International not only because it deals exclusively in rare and exotic cars, but also for its reputation in delivering a high level of personalised service to its discerning clientele; this is absolutely essential for a car serving such a specialist niche. Jonathan Kaiser has a deep understanding of the supercar market and similarly Paul Osborn really understands the needs of racecar customers seeking the ultimate track day experience.”

Paul Osborn who founded Cars International 20 years ago said: “We’re delighted to have secured the franchise for the Caparo T1. It’s an extraordinary car really in a class of its own and judging by the comments we’ve received from prospective clients they await its arrival with keen anticipation of its high performance potential. They understand and appreciate the car’s exclusivity and already perceive it as the ultimate road and track car investment.”

Fellow director Jonathan Kaiser added: “It’s probably the most sensational and usable road car being made available for sale today and on the track is certainly the closest in terms of experiencing how a high formula grand prix car delivers its performance.  But I’m convinced that the majority of customers will relish the idea of being able to use this car on the road.”
