Girl seeks multi-millionaire driver

(1/1)

Wizzo:

Women all over the world are being taught how to bag themselves a racing driver with the help of a series of books.

Broadcaster and author Liz Allison has produced the second book in her series entitled The Girl's Guide to Winning a NASCAR Driver, equipping women with tips on etiquette and clothing which should help them ensnare a racer.

"It's a relationship book with a left-hand turn," said the author, who met her late husband at a racetrack.

Tips in the book include letting the driver lead when giving a goodnight kiss and using connections to obtain pit passes.

However, the writer advises against wearing big jewellery and high heels to the track, based on her own experiences.

She is also planning to release a romantic novel centring around NASCAR which she co-wrote with another female author.

cosworth151:
NASCAR cut a deal a couple of years ago with Harlequin to produce and market an entire series of NASCAR romance novels. NASCAR even sells them through their on-line store:

They realized quite some time back that they needed to appeal to the wives, girlfriends, ect. of their male fan base. It has not only enlarged their fan base and made NASCAR a family activity, it has brought in sponsorships from things thought of as "women's products." Laundry soap, cleaners, even Ricky Bobby's Wonder Bread.

Etiquette?  To snare a NASCAR driver?  Clothing?  Lack of, maybe.  Sheesh.

Just joking, Dare. ;)

The final page in the book will probably read like this.............."now that you have landed a Nascar driver you have your foot in the door....it's time to get yourself a real driver.  Look out for our next book.  Upgrading to an F1 Driver!"

LOL
