England football, potentially, out of the European finals. England, rugby, lost the World Cup the better team did win though. Lewis has a mare of a Brazilian GP.

We seem to be good at this sort of result in England but a good week of sport all the same.

we're the best at the important sports in life, for eg, who hasnt heard of Andy Purvis? He holds the singles crown in Tiddlywinks. And then we won the conkers world title the other weekend, what a battle eh? Ady Hurrell deserved that one.  :tease:

I know how you all feel. A few weeks ago, I changed my avitar to Chief Wahoo, the mascot of the beloved Cleveland Indians. They made the playoffs with the best record in baseball this year. In the first round, they made short work of the New York Yankees. They then took a 3-1 lead in a best of 7 series against Boston. Well, over the weekend, Boson handed The Tribe their a**es.

I'm a grandfather. The Indians have never won a World Series in my lifetime. They have only been there three time in my life - one of those when I was 11 months old.

Oh, well, maybe next year!

Don't forget that James Toseland has already claimed the World Superbikes championship this year!

That was Chief Knockahoma, and he was the mascot for the Atlanta Braves.

don't feel so bad Andy B, at least you made finals.

the cocky All Blacks [my fellow Kiwis] and over confident Wallabies [my adopted country] were so up themselves they were rightly brought down to earth.

abuse the spirit of Mother Rugby at your peril as she will always knock ya back

I hope both countries have a very serious look how they manage and over pay these rock stars

Things may get worse yet for England football fans.  All we have to do is beat Italy.  But Scotland being Scotland I will absolutely guarantee the game ends in a draw.  That is the biggest certainty in sport this year.
