Yet another conspiracy theory
« on: October 25, 2007, 08:43:14 PM »
Here's a post I found on the Giancarlo Fisichella web
site.Take it with a grain of salt

Who knows these days. Everything is "consipracized!" Except ofcourse for the true conspiracies.

Any case, we would need valid proof to this before we talk about it!! In the mean time we better forget, or try to.

On Saturday I was lucky enough to go to the rugby final in Paris. One of the guys I was with is an old mate and he is extremley well connected in F1. He told us that he had had lunch with a well known F1 journalist (IHe told me the name)and that he had been told that an incident on Sunday would put Hamilton to the back of the grid. He could not be more specific but was certain that something would happen.

I nearly fell off the chair when on Sunday Lewis lost his gearchange for a brief moment putting him at the back of the field.

I have since spoken to another mate who confirmed that this was a deliberate action taken remotely by McClaren.

Max Moseley at the FIA wanted to ban McC and both drivers for 2007 and 2008. A compromise was reached which gave McC the opportuity to race to the last race on the proviso that neither driver would win the WDC.

It was totally uncharacterisitic of McC to get the tyre strategy so wrong at China when Lewis was almost certain to secure the WDC.

If I hadn't heard the story on Saturday, I would not believe it.

You'll probably think I've lost the plot but I've been a Fisi fan from the start and wanted to share this with you.

ive heard the same rumours....its credible because after a season of perfect racing he fcuks up for the last 2?

stalling in the pits at interlagos and that tyre with no rubber on it in China, i could see it on the telly it had no rubber for a couple of laps and he was losing loads of time, the team must had known for several laps b4 hand

So outlandish and fanciful that it's hardly worth the effort typing a comment, tbh!
