Williams Taps Nico & Naka
« on: November 07, 2007, 11:01:58 AM »
Another piece of the 2008 drivers puzzle has fallen into place. The Williams Formula 1 team confirmed on Wednesday morning that Kazuki Nakajima will join Nico Rosberg as the team's drivers for next season.

Speaking about his two drivers for the upcoming season Frank Williams said: "I am delighted to confirm that Nico will be racing for the team for his third consecutive year after demonstrating impressive and widely applauded form in 2007. Nico (Rosberg) will be partnered by Kazuki (Nakajima), who has impressed the team over the past year. He has pace and the right aptitude to develop into a competitive Formula One racer and over the course of the next season, we will provide him with all the necessary support and assistance to hone his talents."

This puts and end to the speculation that Rosberg would be heading for McLaren or Renault.

I guess Frank doesn't need Ron's millions now since Toyota will be paying for Nakajima seat.

If I was in Naka's pit crew, I would quit....... or transfer..... and if that wasn't possible..... I would quadruple my health and life insurance.......

Not too happy my team is signing what is basically a pay driver.  But, if he can repeat his racing (and not his pitting) then he can be quick.  I feel it is a season too early and all we are doing is training him for Toyota however.
