Hi all,

just cleaned the young lady after a trip down the A483 to south wales yesterday so i thought i'd post pics now. She was a dirty gal this morning   :-*

The A483 is a great road to drive down. Lots of 2nd gear 10 - 20 mph corners / N bends with the occasional straight. I thought the brakes were rubbish till i look at the speedo at saw how fast i was getting up  :o

Shes 230bhp and 320lbs of torque, does  0-62mph in 5.9 secs, but the performce is at mid range ..she dont arf shift and i didnt go above 4000rpm >:D

i want to mod her but im worried about the warranty n stuff, so this is going to be a long term project, plus im skint  :DD

but ive got to get her looking right, so im going to upgrade the springs with prodrive ones which will lower it about 30mm and whack a carbon fiber spolier on the back

Not a bad looking beast there Crazyhorse, a body kit, the lowered springs you mentioned and she will look sweet..... maybe even a nice subtle graphic to break up the black a little... but of course it's your car.... Glad you had a good drive...... take it easy and hopefully the mods you want don't affect the warranty and hopefully the cash comes quickly for you......

i need to add a grill just under the number plate to protect the radiator, might get a chrome one, but that means replacing the grill inbetween the lights as well

im going to replace the 17in alloys with 18in black ones. I like gold, but gold is so last year apparently  :DD

thanks rom, she my first new car and its better than being on prozac for 6 months

now the porn

shes got the standard mitsubishi  TD04 turbo, that will eventually get replaced. But replacing the turbo means replacing the intercooler, fuel pump and injectors, air filter and exhaust, plus a load of other little bits and bobs so ive either got to put my girlfriend on a street corner at the weekends or work even harder than i do now. Which shouldnt be very hard lol

Not bad at all there Crazyhorse..... I should get a pic inside my housemates car bonnet for you to drool over..... his car eats Scoobies for brekkie...... but it's a bit higher up in the power food chain, so not really fair........ LOL...... I can't wait to read about a man in a hot lookin black scooby getting booked for crazy speeds.......

Like I said earlier... good luck with it all and make sure you have some safe driving there mate   :good:

First (cheap) mod has to be a K&N air filter  :good:

Rom dont forget my last car was a volvo  :DD  im going to be happy with 320bhp (thats my target for time attacking it on the track), but the real scoobie freaks mod them to 500 + bhp. They call them sleepers and they'll give anything a run for their money but I'd kill myself with that so no chance.

i can have off a golf R32 so i more than happy with what i got till i win the lottery

theres a place in wales i need to goto called the evo triangle. Evo car mag test drive cars on it. Not been yet, but cant wait.

Good looking ride, CH! :good: I second the motion on the K&N. They're a good place to start for any car.

You may have heard Dare and I talk about a automotive DIY radio show called Car Talk. This past Saturday, one of their callers wanted to know the best way to cook a meatloaf on a Scooby engine.

Could be a handy thing to know. :D

Awesome.  Our cook (hotel cook - no, we're not royalty) has the same model as you, but from last year.  I guess we pay him too much.

I drive a mini-van (Peugot 806 Turbo Diesel) now I'm the family man, but I have been through two VW's - '83 GTI -which had over 400,000km without ever opening the motor or transmission - when if finally faded with an honourable electrical death, and a '97 Golf CL, which just didn't cut it.

I'd never heard of the EVO triangle, but I'm going to have to make my way over to the U.K one of these days and rent something fun to take up there.
