an easy one,did he change designs in 80;I thought the 79 had
the same colors but a different layout

I don't remember any significant design changes while he was in F1 but it is possible.  I know Jacques talked to some family and agonised over whether he should use the same design.

Hopefully someone else will have a go soon.  But until then..

Nelson Piquet

There were a few versions of this.  Late in his career he occasionally raced with a chromed version but apparently in the original design which he used in Brazil the white parts were red and the red parts were black.  I always thought the design was very clever and imaginative.

On the subject of Piquet and helmets.  The link shows Piquet's F3 car.  Amazing that Senna should have a helmet design that looks like a Piquet car.  Anyone know if he took the design from the car?
