Lewis Hamilton has had his licence taken away for one month after doing speeds of 196km/ph in France on Sunday whilst driving a Mercedes.

After being pulled over by the French police he was fined 600 euro (£429) and the car impounded by the police. “He was very polite and cooperative,” said a police spokesman.

Actually, it's very unfair.  It all happened after Mickey the Shoe phoned Lewis, told him about his taxi escapade and then dared the lad to beat that...

At least Lewis was graceful about being caught red-handed.

Funny thing is a few years ago when Prost was caught speeding in France he was let off on the basis of his exceptional driving ability.

In the UK anyone driving too fast is always asked 'who do you think you are?, Stirling Moss?'   The French version unsurprisingly uses Prost's name.  So when he was stopped the cop didn't recognise him and asked him if he thought he was Alain Prost.

I now doubt that he will ever win a WDC. After all, if he can't even outrun a French traffic cop...... ;)

Perhaps he is aware Cos that like the US of A the French cops have firearms and can be relied on to use them especially against those sissy carrot crunchers from the other side of the Channel. After all the real Grand prix in France is the L'arc de Triomphe Gee Gee race. :D
