Christian Klien must feel like he has thrown a black cat through a mirror.  First he loses the Fifi drive then he gets told he has to join the Austrian Army even though he has move to Switzerland.

Every time a door closes another slams in your face.

Poor Christian would probably have to swap citizenships to permanently avoid the call-up - though I have heard that if he gets another high-profile motor sport role, that he might be able to delay matters. Presumably that's why he hasn't had to do his service yet, because usually countries that insist upon national service make people do it when they're about 20 - and Klien was knocking on F1's door for the first time at that stage.

They only get drafted for six months? That's barely enough time for boot camp. I wonder if the Austrian Army has some really fast tanks?

If you look at it like the other Austrian young men,Klein
is draft dodging
