FIA name Bridgestone 2008 tyre supplier
« on: July 05, 2006, 09:59:46 PM »

Bridgestone has been selected to be F1's sole tyre supplier from 2008, the World Council said after a Paris meeting on wednesday morning.

The Japanese marque, already supplier to several teams including Ferrari, is therefore to get a trial run for its three-year duties in 2007, after Michelin pulls out of formula one in protest of the rule.

The Council also decided that Microsoft has won the tender to become 'Official ECU supplier' for the same period.

Dunlop are indeed still producing tyres albeit it not being in F1. They are currently supplying the FIA GT Championship, the World Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP), and the World and British Superbike Championships. They are also the sole tyre supplier in BTCC for 2003-2006.
vanquish89.... :D
