(1/2) > >>

Wizzo:

Juan Pablo Montoya will leave Formula One at the end of the season to move to the NASCAR Nextel Cup series.

With no F1 drive for next season, the McLaren driver has decided to reunited with Chip Ganassi, his team owner in Indy-style racing before he moved to F1.

Unveiling the signing of Montoya at Chicagoland Speedway, Ganassi said: "We'll run him in Busch and Nextel Cup next year to try and get him as much experience as quickly as possible.

In my opinion I think its a great shame to see Montoya leave. A great character and a great driver. When he was quick he was quick! I'm sure he'll go and kick a*se in NASCAR.

Ian:
Could'nt agree more,NASCARS gain is certainly F1's loss. What is wrong with all the team managers out there

davewilson:
He Could Return !!
Big Ron Has not finished with him yet.
He is still under contract......
The Stig :) :)

Wizzo:

Yep thats right, Montoya is still under contract and Ron Dennis is refusing to let him drive for anybody else unless they come to a financial arrangement. In other words if you have a squillion quid to give Ron perhaps he would let Monty drive you to work!
