You say you can actually see two corners at Silverstone?  At Monza it's a max of 1 corner (althought the Parabolica is one helluva corner!), or a chicane which is really just three steering locks.
The Honey Badger doesn't give a...

At Indy, Turns 1 through 7 can be viewed from Grandstans H, J and N.W. Vista. The Turn 6 Terrace and the viewing mound between Hulman Blvd and Turn 5 give a fair view of them all, too. I've shot many pix from those areas.

Lots of info guys, thanks.
I have a buddy who is from Montreal and tells me that the big issue there is accomadation. If you don't have really deep pockets you will end up with the cockroach motel and still pay good for it.
Any ideas if Indy will come back on the schedule in 2009 or 10?
Sad to think that the only North American F1 race is Montreal. There are some other great places to hold a race like that.
What about Watkins Glen?
Vancouver?
Seattle?
San Fransisco?

Tony & Co. are trying to get the race back at Indy next year. The Glen is a beautiful track, but it's out in the middle of nowhere. Rooms are scarce and go for top dollar. SF and Seattle don't have tracks.

Yes, I realize that SF and Seattle don't have tracks, but neither does Vancouver and they ran an Indycar race for a few years in the late 80's and early 90's through the streets. I think street tracks are way more exciting to watch as there is more skill involved with all the difficult corners and tight situations that they can present.
I am looking forward to Singapore this year as it's a street track as well as a night race.
Can you imagine a race in SF in and around Knob Hill? Those hills would be a real challenge.

Except for Monaco, I've never much cared for street circuits. They're like racing in a tunnel. I drove one in Columbus back in the early '80s.

Very few, if any, good photo spots on them, either.
