Lewis Hamilton is grabbing the headlines, but another formula one protege is also tipped for a race debut in 2007.
23-year-old German hotshoe Adrian Sutil has appeared a couple of times in the 'Friday' MF1 at grands prix this year, with his impressive pace sparking speculation that he could star in the race lineup before long.
''We have a programme,'' Midland principal Colin Kolles said. ''Just like Ron Dennis has his Lewis Hamilton programme, we have our Adrian Sutil programme.
''We will see who makes it (into F1) first.''
Sutil, who has also starred in the Japanese F3 championship this season, finished second to Hamilton in F3 last year.
He could appear again for 'MF1' at Suzuka, according to paddock gossip.
