Just a after thought SM,I don't think many people are
aware of the Tasman Series from the 60's either.

Thats where the f1 cars and drivers went in the off season

yeah Dare - we NZ'ers did not know how lucky we were as we saw all the greats in those series. Stirling MOSS, jimmy CLARK and jackie STEWART were the standouts for me.

nothing like it now though.

thanks SR, I enjoyed this site as it brought back some great memories of the NZGP Pukekohe races I attended.

In those days it doubled as part of the Tasman Series.

if would be great to see an f1 car doing over 200mph around the indy oval
