Audi can predict the light

Nobody likes being stuck at a red light for long, and sometimes it seems like forever. Audi is working on a program called Travolution, which allows a driver to know how long that infernal light will stay red. 

If you are going fast toward a red light, The Travolution will tell you if that red light will suddenly turn green in a few seconds, so you can keep going.

So far, this Travolution is still in the experimental phase right now, being tested out in the German town of Ingolstadt. The town had to install a network of “intelligent traffic lights” in order to implement this Travolution system. 

Can anybody think of any benefits to have this system fitted to thier car?

It doesn't sound like the safest thing I have ever heard.  If the driver knows the light will change he woun't brake and will arrive at the light very soon after it changes travelling at or near the speed limit.  If someone is a little late coming the other way he won't be able to avoid the accident.  Did Max think of this?  It sounds like his idea of safety.

No I can't see a benefit so I'm waiting for the system that sends a message to the lights to make them turn green as I approach.

Much more practical, for me, never mind the rest of you.
