Most parents will agree that handing the keys over to junior to take the car out for a spin is among the most terrifying moments in life.

Apart from the risk of wrapping your baby [the car] around a pole, there's also the chance that they'll be using it as a makeshift bed. But now, Ford is planning to add parental controls to your motor, limiting just what your kids can get up to.

OK, they'll still be copulating in it but the MyKey system will limit the top speed to 80mph, sounds klaxons if seat belts are not being worn and even limit how loud the stereo can be played.

Most youngsters would probably avoid borrowing the car in the picture, but perhaps that's also part of Fords cunning plan.

After all how many people carriers, like Toyota Previas or KIA Sedonas, get stolen by joy riders?........ You've guessed right, hardly any
