Dartford - Thurrock Toll Increase
« on: November 16, 2008, 12:04:50 PM »
As from last night it now costs £1.50 to drive your car across the river instead of a £1. On the positive side, there is going to be no charge from 10pm 'til 6am. Good news for us this side who might fancy a night out in Basildon or Southend... maybe :DntKnw: :D

You'll be in trouble when Ian sees this, that's for sure.

Well that's just priced Brands Hatch out of my buget for Touring cars, this darn credit crunch, so I'll have to go to Truxton instead. You never know may be a blessing in disguise as Muddy Talker usually attends in Hampshire it would be good to see him again.

Is that £1.50 in each direction? Many of the toll bridges over here only charge one way.

Hiya cos, yeah it's £1.50 each way. To travel north you go through a tunnel, coming south you come across the bridge.

Coo hoo hoo Wiz, that was a bit hmmm was'nt it. I'm sure we all remember when the bridge was built we were told that when the construction costs were met it would become a free crossing, yet another LIE by our masters in power.

You lot want to live in a civilised country.  As of January 1st this year all road tolls of any kind in Scotland were scrapped.
