You might be forgiven for scoffing at this LEGO Safe, but it is incredibly complicated and obviously made by someone with far far too much time on their hands.

Weighing in at 14lbs, this LEGO NXT Safe is a little more secure than its component parts suggest. What it is though is another highly innovative use of LEGO NXT to create a safe that has a lock that requires 5, double-digit numbers - that's a possible 305bn different combinations -and even sports a built-in motion sensor that triggers an alarm if anyone tries to move it.

The little LCD allows you to enter the numbers by rotating those large LEGO wheels and you can hear the all the whirring and popping before the door opens electronically.

I'd like to see it keep out Mrs Wiz!
