Toyota Posts Huge Losses

Toyota has posted an operating loss of ¥150 billion ($1.7 billion, £1.1 billion) for the fiscal year ending March 31. Honda and Nissan are also expected to post losses.

this comes on the heals of Consumer Reports across the board downgrading of Toyota's vehicle reliability rankings. The magazine called Toyota's current line as “bug-ridden redesigns.” They added that they can no longer recommend the Camry and Lexus GS sedans and the Tundra pickup truck.

Meanwhile, Consumer Reports praised what it said were steady increases in the quality of vehicles made by Ford. 93 percent of the models made by Ford’s domestic brands scored average or better in predicted reliability, the automaker’s best performance in years.
