Also a very belated Happy New Year to everyone.

Mine was not so happy because I was on a plane to Canada for my father's funeral (he passed away on Dec 26th).  It was a very stressful time as you can imagine, but I am really looking forward to unwinding at AIS and the karting competition.

That also might explain to some of you why I was only on briefly and occasionally.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss Scotty, I went through the same thing a couple of years ago when I lost my Mum & Dad within 6 months of each other. My thoughts are with you.

Good to have you back my friend.

Sorry to hear about your loss Scott. My sympathies to you and all the family.

Seems like that time of the year. We're off to a funeral tomorrow of a friend who finally lost his fight against cancer.

My thoughts are with you Scotty, I lost a very good friend last year, he was as close as family. Time heals my friend, just remember the good times with them, it helps.

Please accept my condolence for your unhappy loss Scotty, I know only too well that there is never a good time to lose loved ones but Holiday seasons are undoubtably worse.

I hope you enjoy your time in Birmingham, watch out for the Pirates in your mirrors though.

Thanks for all for your wishes.  It was a great service and a lot more of his friends showed up than I even knew were still alive (he was 85).  Plenty of family came from Edmonton and Toronto as well, so it really was nice to find out things I didn't even know.

I am really excited to go tomorrow - and you don't need to be nice to me...I'll be watching for those pirates over my shoulders, and hoping they stay there.

Scott,

I have only just seen this so I didn't know about your loss when we spoke last night.  My condolences.

I too have only just seen this. Sorry to hear about your loss, Scotty, and thanks for coming to see us in Birmingham anyway.

Also, thank you for the chocolate - it's very smooth and the flavour is subtly pleasant - and congratulations on winning the karting competition.
