AA man starts car with dog!
« on: September 28, 2006, 05:41:42 PM »

An AA patrolman managed to get a car to start - with a dog. Patrolman Kevin Gorman was called to Addlestone in Surrey to attend to a problem with AA member Juliette Piesley's car.

The 39-year-old had put a new battery in her car key fob and was surprised that her vehicle would not start.

When Mr Gorman took the fob apart, he noticed that the immobiliser chip was missing.

While they were looking for the chip, Ms Piesley's partner said he had seen their two-year-old dog George eat something small and black off the floor.

Realising this was probably the chip, Mr Gorman and the couple took the dog to the car and sat him in the driver's seat. With one turn of the key the car started.

Mr Gorman said: "I was glad to get the car started for the member. They will now have to take George with them in the car until things take their natural course.

"It is the first time that I have had to get a dog to help me to start a car."

"No Matter how little money and how few possessions, you own, having a dog makes you rich."
