Postage cost for a letter

The US Post Office is raising the cost to mail a letter
to 44 cents. What is the cost for this service in your
country

Not only that, but they want to do away with Saturday delivery, too!

They are well snidey over here. It used to be X amount for 1st class(next day delivery) and X amount for 2nd class(held for a day.) Now they charge by the size of the envelope.

Sfr .85 for a postcard.  That's about US$.65

And guess what, gas is down to Sfr 1.50/litre - I'll let you do the math on that one, but you can bet it is twice what you guys pay in the U.S.

today gas here is $1.85 a gallon which considering the
price of a barrel of crude is way too high

There are 3.8 litres per US gallon.  Hardly anyone here talks about the price of gas.  Coffee costs Sfr 4.-  :o  oh, it's a little cup, and no free refills.

25p - Neil still lives in the eighties  :DD

1st class post is 36p minimum and second class 27p minimum.

Petrol price here is 98.9p per litre (£3.73 US Gallon!)  :o

1st class stamps are definitely 36p each because I bought some this weekend.

That's fine as long as the letter you wish to send is C5 or less (i.e. an A5 sheet folded in half), is less than half-a-centimetre thick, weighs less than 60g and is going to another UK address. Otherwise, it could get really expensive and you'll need to visit a Post Office to use their weighing scales.

I get my morning caffene jolt from Mt. Dew. I refill my 64 oz (1.9 ltr) cup for $.84 at the Speedway gas station. It recently went up from $.73.

Greedway,I mean Speedway are always the first to raise gas
prices here.I'd say they would charge you for air if they
could but they can and they do

Sunoco and Speedway's parent company, Marathon, are usually the first to jump here.
