Crude down gas prices up
« on: February 15, 2009, 02:04:55 PM »
I must have been mistaken I always thought gas
prices were set by the price of a barrel of oil.Should
have figured they'd find a reason to raise prices

The Futures Markets in whatever commodity have never made sense to anyone not connected to the markets, and I suspect over half the people connected don't have a clue either.

They feed us whatever crap they think relevant to justify the fuel prices. We still have to pay what they ask so I quit worrying about it some time ago.

It's actually started back down here. It was $1.99 earlier this week. It was $1.81 on my way in to the office this morning.

Of course, I filled up at the $1.99 price, expecting it to keep going up.

What really blows is the price hikes that have taken place in recent months due to the rise in gas prices. Yet when the prices fell, the merchants, taxi companies, airlines and everyone else that felt it necessary to use gas costs as a reason to raise their prices are non to quick to lower the price accordingly. >:D

The thing that really bugs me is the speculators, many
in the gov't blame them as a main cause of the high
gas prices last summer but I've yet to see any
politician to a thing about it!!!!
