2009 Grid Game Prizes
« on: March 17, 2009, 10:42:35 PM »
This year the prizes for the 2009 Grid Game will be different, there are three prizes on offer for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, hopefully making the game more enjoyable for us all.

As always I have tried to keep the prizes a little different from the 'norm' and I think these would make essential items for any collector.

1st Prize = Michael Schumacher signed OMP race balaclava

This is an original OMP race balaclava as used by Michael when driving for Ferrari. It has been signed by the F1 legend and comes complete with certificate of authenticity. This would look great mounted in a display.

Plus

A trophy engraved with 'GPWizard Grid Game Winner 2009'

and, (possibly the greatest prize of all), the membership title of 'Grid Game Winner'

2nd Prize = 1/18 Kimi Raikkonen 2003 McLaren Mercedes MP4/17D signed by Kimi Raikkonen

This model is rare in itself but, this is one of only 500 signed examples in existence and it commemorates Raikkonen's 1st F1 victory at the Malaysian GP's Sepang circuit during the 2003 season. Complete with certificate of authenticity.

3rd Prize = Vodafone McLaren Mercedes 1:2 Scale Ayrton Senna Helmet

An official McLaren Mercedes half scale collector's model of Ayrton Senna's helmet as worn during the 1988 season – Senna’s first championship title year.

Bonus Prizes

This year I will be taking part in the game as normal but, will be scored separately in order for the competition to be a true members competition. At the end of the season EVERY member that has a higher score than me will receive either one of the following:

Official F1 Poster Card Pack

Official 2007 Formula 1™ artwork from all 17 Grands Prix, Printed on 350gsm graphic board, -Presented in exclusive foil block printed sleeve and tray.

or

Official F1 Writing Pad

Official 2007 Formula 1™ artwork cover, Linen bound, A4 size, 70 pages, 100 gsm plain paper, 300gsm matt coated board cover.

Please note that this is not me being big headed (far from it), hopefully this will make an interesting game for everyone - even if you're not in the top three, you will still have a chance of winning something.

Stinker Prize

To make the bottom half of the scores more competitive I have decided that the member who receives the lowest amount of points will receive the following:

A GPWizard Smelly Sock

and, (possibly the worst prize of all time), the membership title of 'Grid Game Stinker'

Good Luck Everyone!  :good:

Loving the prizes Wiz.Its a bit worrying that you could end up with the humiliation of Grid game stinker under your name for a whole year.Cant wait for it though may the best man or women win.

Great Prizes, Wizzo! You're too good to us! :yahoo:

So tell me, Dare & Rom, will the title now be decided by who gets the most race wins?

Great prizes Wiz as always. :good: :good: :good:

That sock looks familiar, I lost one just like it in Essex a couple of years ago. Oh, and I certainly don't want it back! :DD
