There were a spate of these that got a lot of publicity a few years ago.  The thing is that they only work from on viewpoint.  How the artist can do these when the only place where you can see the effect is by standing outside the drawing.  I saw a photo one from the 'wrong' angle and it just looked a mess.  I have no idea how someone ever learned to do this.
