At last, an electric car I would have
« on: April 17, 2009, 11:02:20 PM »

The Sunbeam Tiger electric sports car concept was specially designed in memory of the 100th anniversary (1925-2025) of the Tiger’s land speed record win. You will find state of the art technology in the 2025 edition, where it will be powered by a Siemens 3 phase AC motor powering the rear wheels with a 26 kilowatt/hour lithium-titanate battery pack, tipping the scales at just 600kg (1,323lb) - extremely light to help it sprint away in fashionable speed.

You will find a tubular space frame chassis grace the Sunbeam Tiger concept, where it will be made completely from recycled aluminum to keep up with the green scheme of things, alongside a bunch of other components that will use environmentally friendly materials such as vegetable oil resin for its body panels, soy foam seats covered in biofabric, natural fiber brake pads, eco-paint and cornstarch tires. As for the roll bars, they have been directly incorporated into the seat frame, with the seat frame built into the chassis for improved safety as you tackle those nasty corners.

Performance-wise, this conceptual vehicle is tipped to achieve 0-60 mph in 2.3 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 160mph and a driving range of about 800 miles between charges.

How much? You'll have to wait until 2025??  :DntKnw:

It will probably take until 2025 for the manufacturer to wrestle the name from Peugeot/Citroen, or if the name is owned by Chrysler it will take that long to get the money together to make it. Looks and sounds cool though.
