Bahrain hero and zeros

Heros

1-Button,what can you say,given a good car
he's showing what he can do

2-Vettel,another nice race,might soon be a 2 horse race

3-Trulli,would be a little disappointed but Trulli warned
there may be a brake problem after qualifying

honorable mention-Webber,without being held up I wonder where
                          he may have finished

zeros

1-Ferrari,a little better but I know Ferrari aren't happy campers!
             look for changes there

2-Nakajima,he's in a race with Piquet this year, unfortually a race
to see who's the worst driver

3-BMW,they pushed for KERS making be careful what you wish for ring true

Mark Twain once opined, "it's easier to con someone than to convince them they've been conned."

1- Button- great drive, got the most out of the car
2- Ross Brawn- showed he still has the brain that won Ferrari all those titles with Schumacher
3- Vettel- could have done even better had he not been stuck behind Hamilton.

Zeros

1- Ferrari- Just their usual 2009 badness
2- BMW- What is going on with them?  They seem to be getting worse whilst the others are slowly improving
3- Kazuki- I just hate the fact he drives for my once great team.  Go back to some lower formula where you belong.

Heros

Button - he keeps amazing me and makes me re-think my opinion of him.  Everyone always said he was one of the smoothest drivers, and I've got to admit, it seems so.

Vettel - not as fast I would have preferred, but he's my man.  Can't wait until they get that diffuser fitted.

Zeros

Branson for paying far more attention to the cameras as the race.  Will someone outbid him please?  We need a faceless giant like Coke all over that Brawn, not something like Virgin that is all about the self promotion of its' owner.

BMW - huh?  what happened?

Rubens - waving your hand at Piquet was a waste of time, try a different line.

Rosberg/Williams - it seemed like he was getting sqeezed by just about everyone as they left the pits.

Massa - no, Kimi won't move over for you, and Fisi shouldn't HAVE to move over for you, even if you think so (nice bully move!).  Special mention goes to Ferrari for blowing Kimi's pit stop.

BUTTON - smoothness, shrewdness and patience - [and having ross BRAWN in ya corner]

MASSA and RAIKONEN - yes, for being racers again and kimi sticking with it to gain the first points

VETTEL and WEBBER - sebastien looks more like a WDC every race and mark never gave up after the SUTIL debacle - a lesser man would have [as many have done]

TRULLI - for partly getting rid of the tag you cannot race as well as you qualify and for fastest lap

Zeroes

Bahrain organisers for:

their cultural and political correctness for substituting Champagne for a gormless non-alcoholic fluid - everyone knows how easy it is to drink alcohol in this supposedly 'no alcohol permitted' country; hypocrisy still rules regardless of philosophy.

having a race in the middle of a b****y desert, miles from anywhere

TOYOTA and FERRARI for mucking up kimi's and timo's race strategies

HEROES.

Button. No explanations necessary. He does it all so well on the track.

Trulli. I always liked the guy. He smiles, unlike Fizzy. Pity they screwed up his strategy with hard tyres in the middle stint.

Vettell. The guy's just magic and his team mate is showing us how good Vettell really is.

Hamilton. Yes I'll put him there too for the same reasons as Vettell - his team mate!

Kimi. For taking Ferrari's first points ..... in the presence of Montezemolo.

ZEROS.

Toyota. For their strategy, or lack of it.

Massa. For thinking he's God and everybody must clear the way for him.

Montezemolo. For hardly mentioning Kimi in his post race interview, yet saying a dozen times how sorry he was for Massa. So much for equality in the team!

Heroes

Button - perfect route to victory. Jenson looks good for the championship.

Vettel - for being patient and aggressive in equal measure and getting his just rewards for it.

Alonso - for fooling us into thinking he was fully hydrated until after the race (on account of his on-track performance being so good).

Zeroes

BMW - something is seriously wrong. Probably their focus on KERS to the exclusion of aero.

Ferrari's KERS - this needs ditching if Ferrari ever wish to become a win contender again.

Nakajima - a quite messy race. Somewhat unlucky though - in any other race so far this season, Kazuki's performance leven would have been good enough to escape the zeroes.

I think we have Mercedes big boy Norbert Haug to thank for that. ;)

Hero: Ross Brawn for making Button look like Schumi, we have seen this strategy before.

Zero: Ross Brawn for totally mucking up Rubens' race. Should have let him have a go at passing Kimi et all instead of jumping to a 3 stop race.

Mention of Barichello brings an interesting point.

Is he or is he not as fast as Button?

Was he or was he not as fast as Shumi?

In both cases results have proven that he isn't / wasn't, despite the fact that he is convinced that he is / was.

At Ferrari there was the excuse of the team always giving Shumi priority.

What's the excuse now?

Right on John, hasn't he already been doing a little
moaning this year.Schumacher like him or not was
poetry to watch, every lap nearly identical to the
previous one

I don't know if anyone agrees but I think Rubens problem is in his head not in his driving ability. He has proven to be able to lap faster than Shumi and Button and has, at times, out-qualified both of them. However, when it comes to the race he seems to lose it. In the first race this year something went wrong at the start (car or driver) and then he went crazy and drove like he was in a banger race. It was fun to watch and luckily he got away with it but it wasn't clever. In every race his actions seem to be a part of his own race problems.
