Thats a tough one.

I would have to go with my first real memory of F1 and that was Sir Jackie Stewart in his black John Player Special. I had a poster of his car on my bedroom wall, all my mates thought I was mad because they all had football posters on theirs, hey ho, nothing changes!

Ahhh, your bringing back memories of my childhood, it was a Tyrell that JS was driving in the poster and I had a 1:18 scale model of a JPS F1 car with removable wheels. There was no driver inside and I can't remember much more than that. I wish I still had it though, probably worth something now.

I had forgotten all about the JPS car I used to play with.  8)

Blimey dare, I just put a video of Jim Clark on the 'Fangio' thread without looking at this post  :o Spooky!

The first Driver I remember admiring was Damon Hill I think :-[

Oh and James Hunt

I started to post a Jim Clark tribute yesterday but
   at last minute didn't

After Clark died I started following Jackie, and then
started liking his teammate Francois Cevert, here"s
   a little tribute to him

And here's a little vid on Cevert with Sir Jackie talking
   about Cevert
