While I'm aware that Brawn doesn't look good until Q3... 3 weeks is enough time to actually improve an F1 car.

I'd love to see another car at the front.  Maybe there'll be an on track pass for first place!!

I'm pretty certain that was a low fuel run by Lewis, but the McLaren does seem to have picked up the pace a bit since Silverstone. We shall have to wait and see if that translates to race performance and puts Lewis back in the points, if only at the lower end.

I remember when Frank Williams did that to bolster Button's confidence.

What game is McLaren playing?  Surely Hamilton doesn't need his confidence boosted, does he?

Everyone needs a confidence boost now and again, Jeri. Even World Champs.

No, but Mclaren's sponsors might be tired of not getting any press...

I don't think so ........ I'm very glad to say.

O K, so he was quick yesterday and everybody said it's a fluke, he was running dry, the others were running heavy, etc. etc.

So, what's the excuse this morning? Long run ...... Hamilton fastest by almost a second.  Short burst on soft tyres and low fuel load ........ Hamilton fastest again.

Have they finally cracked it ?

I feel sorry for Heike. Mc Laren only had one set of the new bits ready in time.

Show boating, Kovi was right with him in quli. McLaren are probably, and quite rightly under pressure from Mercedes to perform, they have invested so much with them and it is obliviously their chassis that's the problem.

I wonder how much Newey was really worth, since the first tech changes after he left Merc they produced a dog, at the exact time Red Bull went from a dog to a star.  I would guess with his resume , he should be making close to what Kimi makes in Newey's next contract.

Kovi finished up over a second down on Lewis even though he is only 1 place behind on the grid, I don't read that as being on the same pace at all seeing as the top 5 are all covered by under a half second. This difference is in keeping with what Macca have said about the extra parts only on Lewis' car.
