Biggin Hill Airshow 2009
« on: July 06, 2009, 11:10:09 PM »
I know some of you guys are interested in this stuff. I went to the Biggin Hill Airshow a couple of weeks back and it was mighty impressive.

The highlight of the show was a (very close) flyby of a 747 and the Red Arrows marking the 25th anniversary of Virgin Atlantic.

There is a brief video of the show on here.

Excellent, Wizzo!

I saw a Lancaster at the beginning of he video. There's nothing like the sound of four Merlins singing in harmony!

A 747 at 500ft with the Red Arrows on the wing, what a spectacle :good:

I always take my wife and kids to the NI International Air Show, every year without fail, the Red Arrows make it. Two years ago a Euro Fighter Typhoon made an appearance and done a few aerobatics for 15mins or so, what a show. Scared the c**p out of the kids but :'(
