Samsonite has announced its union with McLarenSport to produce a line of luxury travel bags that will not only ensure safety and security but also add style to your travelling.

Apart from being lightweight and durable, the trademark of Samsonite’s collection, the new line of luggage presents a high-end wheel suspension system that absorbs the impact of bumpy ground to protect the valuables inside the bag.

Produced under the “McLarenSport Samsonite Black Label Collection,” the bags (starting at $326) will be launched in Fall/Winter 2009 and be available at all Samsonite stores worldwide.

Kovi!!!

I know you're not happy to be shilling luggage, but maybe you can try to stop looking like you want to kill the photographer!

Kovi should look at the cars behind him. He finally got the #1!

I found a detail of the coil-over push rod suspension. It doesn't look like much to me. I wonder what airport security will do to it.

We are talking Samsonite Cos and some of their cases have had extra metal, in various places, on them for years. I've got a samsonite case from the early 70's with metal reinforcing inside the edges of the case, never had a problem at security. Sometimes comes out of baggage reclaim unlocked when I know it was locked, how do they do that?

The case has taken every beating airports, boats and railway journeys can throw at it and it is still in top nick, it is also quite handy to sit on when you have to queue or wait for a long time.
