F1 finally on brink of peace deal
« on: July 24, 2009, 07:18:18 PM »

Looks like the FOTA v FIA grudge match may be close to an end game, and not before time. Lets just get on with the racing guys and leave politics to the grubby government corridors around the world.

I've given up on believing in F1 peace until a new FIA president is officially sworn in.

But if they can get a Concorde signed, they yay.   :DntKnw:

yeah Jericoke, I'll only believe in F1 peace when a new FIA President is official, and if a new Concorde is rubbish why rejoice?  :DntKnw:

If was a half hearted 'yay' SennaMan.  But, a signed Concorde is proof that all sides are serious about going forward.

a signed Concorde is proof that all sides are serious about going forward.

Not unless the Concorde that is signed states clearly that Max Mosely cannot resume the Presidency of the FIA after November 2009 under any circumstances (i.e. death or incapability of the new Pres).

Like someone said before, until I see Max's (preferably clothed) rear end going out the door of the FIA for the last time, I will still be skeptical.

So we might actually be able to have a year in 2010 of F1 racing and not F1 politics. :good: I doubt it but :(

On Fox Network's tape delayed coverage of the race today, Bob Varsha said that the new Concord Agreement is already signed. He said the announcement would be made in the next few days. According to him, it will run through the end of the 2012 season.
