I too agree that the only person who could have known that the wheel was potentially going to come off if the car continued back to the pits was Alonso. I don't think the wheel man or team would have knowingly let him leave the pits with a lose wheel, especially in the race position he was in. Hopefully sense will be seen in the appeal and the team will not have to foot the penalty. The team ban should be overturned when the heat has died down from the unfortunate Massa and Surtees accidents. However, it remains what penalty should be handed too Alonso??
