$4.6 million to rest next to Marilyn Monroe
« on: August 26, 2009, 12:54:45 PM »
The burial plot next to Marilyn Monroe, that turns out to be one of the most expensive pieces of land on the market, was sold to an eBay bidder for 4.6 million U.S. dollars.

The crypt in the Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park was placed for sale on eBay 10 days ago for a starting price of 500,000 dollars, and the bidding ended at noon Monday local time when the final price reached 4,602,100 dollars. The burial site also holds the crypts of celebrities like Natalie Wood, Dean Martin and the recently passed Farrah Fawcett.

Its a great neighbourhood, and you can often see me at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion which is located just around the corner. Tell HH your a friend of the Wiz and you'll have a centrefold beauty rubbing oil into you in no time at all.  :D

Wiz, that's tar, the feathers usually follow and preceed the stoning as you run for your life from the gates....

More like running for his life from Mrs Wiz Rom.  :DD
An aircraft landing is just a controlled crash.

The sale fell through! The Japanese guy that placed the high bid has pulled out, saying, via e-mail, "I need to cancel this because of the paying problem."

The rest of the story gets even stranger!

A little paying problem? How did he think Ebay worked?
Pretty simple rules really you bid,you win,and then you
live up to the agreement and pay
Mark Twain once opined, "it's easier to con someone than to convince them they've been conned."

Maybe he isn't really Japanese, and Mrs. Wiz hid the charge card!
