I love the way the cars look under the lights!

Great job!   :good:

I know NASCAR uses a more highly reflective metallic paint for its night races. It looks like F1 might, too.

I see Brawn has Canon logos on the cars. As much money as I've spent on Canon cameras and gear over the years, I may have as much in those cars as Branson!  :D

The cars do look a lot better under lights and where I'm sitting the sound is bouncing between a building and the corporate boxes at the back of the stand, I've never heard them louder, it's great :D

According to Peter Windsor, he was commentating during the first practice session, the Canon sponorship is from Canon of Singapore and is for this race only.

Well done, Aazz. It's good to have an on-site reporter!  :yahoo:

Absolutely brilliant photos aazz. I can only imagine what it's like to be so close to the cars. the noise must be unbelievable. It's great to see raw pictures from a spectator point of view, and the cars do look fantastic in the artificial light. Keep em coming. :good:

Some pictures of the third practice session and qualifying. There's also a picture looking out from the bridge, that is part of the track,to the marina.
Yeah SennaMan, I sure do have the ear plugs in, I wouldn't hear again if I didn't.

And in other little pieces of trivia from interviews tonight.

Jackie Stewart is tipping a Hamilton win with Rosberg on the podium.

Kimi said he is slow because the car hasn't had an update since Hungary and won't have anymore this year. Fisichella hasn't got any confidence in the car and cannot push.
Chris Dyer, Ferrari's head of engineering?? was asked who will be driving next year. He was very vague in his answear, even when asked if Alonso will be there, but said they will have the two best drivers they can get. :o  He then went on to say Massa will be ready for winter testing.

BMW have a brand new gearbox this weekend.

Button had the poos and wouldn't talk to the track reporter, who is Lousie Goodman of ITV fame.

The night shot of the water was great, too. What kind of camera are you using?

Cos, I have a Canon 400D body with a 100-400mm L series IS lens and also a 24-105mm L series IS lens. And I keep Canon IXUS 75 in my top pocket, just in case.

No worries about the Webber pictures Rom, I always try to get plenty of him.

Time to head out to the race now.  :yahoo:GO WEBBER!!! :yahoo:

Hope you enjoyed the race, aazz, and pity about Webber having brake problems.

Sorry people no race pictures tonight. After the race I walked the track and got some good photos especially into the pit garages and parc ferme. At the part of the track that goes behind the paddock there was a break in the fence, so I went through it. While walking up this pathway I came to a sign that said F1 Paddock , so I followed it. There was a gate into the back of the pits, so I went in. And some of the photos I took follow. Getting in there was a great experience, there were a lot of faces I have only ever seen on TV and to be so close to the cars and garages was great, words can't descibe the buzz I got from being in there. At the Brawn office next to the gate some people tried to get in after me but were turned away by security, I just put my head down and kept walking, I don't know why they just let me walk in. Sure made up for Webber's result. Sorry about the amount of photos, I didn't know which ones to cull. A word of warning, more will follow.
