Women are becoming more dangerous on the roads - it's official! The number of convictions for females has increased sharply.
A new survey has revealed that the number of women with a driving conviction has doubled in less than three years!
The research, carried out by insurance comparison site confused.com, shows that one in ten women now have a driving conviction, compared to just one in 20 in 2003.
As a result, these careless ladies are seeing their traditionally low insurance premiums surge.
Women aged between 21 and 25 are the worst offenders and they have seen their premiums grow quicker than most.
An increase can be seen in as little as one year, with the average female driver in this age bracket paying £374 less than men in January.
Since then that gap has closed, with women now paying just £353 less than men.
There is still a huge gap between the sexes however, with the average insurance premium for a male driver aged 21 to 25 being £905, while women of the same age can expect to pay just £552.
We know who the best drivers are, don't we guys?
