Vettel joins in for final day

The BMW Sauber F1 Team experienced another trouble-free day of testing and enjoyed ideal track conditions in Spain on Thursday when once again both cars achieved very good mileage. Therefore, the team is very happy with the work done as they successfully completed the scheduled test program for the day.

Both drivers on duty, 2007 teammates Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica, spent the morning on set-up work before turning their attention to other matters in the afternoon where Nick did five long runs and Robert three, each of which simulating slightly longer stints than Nick’s.

Today, which will be the final day of testing in the year 2006, Robert will be joined by the team’s third driver, Sebastian Vettel. As the team has almost completed its to-do list in terms of new parts and components, their task will be validation work for the test results achieved
